Also a Denver native, Nate, at 16, has been exposed to singing and
a cappella music since his very early days.
Nate began singing with the Mile High Chapter of the Barbershop Harmony
Society at the age of 8, tagging along with Dad to rehearsal, but stepping
into the tenor section. At the age of 12 he successfully qualified to sing
with the Sound of the Rockies Chorus, the chapter's nationally ranked chorus, at his first international competition.
Now an "old veteran," he most recently performed at his 4th international
competition with the chorus, where they placed 7th in the world, and his
1st international competition in a quartet. He currently serves as the
assistant tenor section leader for the chorus and this year, Nate became
the youngest district quartet champion in Rocky Mountain District history,
a title previously held by Ryan.
Nate continues to be actively involved in the choral and theatre programs
at his schools, and has been selected as a solo performer at multiple performances.
Nate has also been a featured soloist in Sound of the Rockies Chorus shows.
Traveling with his parents to a cappella performances around the country
as their group, The Denver A Cappella Project, performed, Nate has dreamed of getting involved in his own group. That
dream has been realized with the formation of NeXus.
Nate attends Regis Jesuit High School in Aurora, CO, and resides in Parker,
CO, with is parents, Mark and Dianne. Nate's sister, Nicole, recently graduated
from Colorado State University in Fort Collins, CO.
