NeXus: Ryan Wilson, Lead

A Denver native, Ryan spent most of his young life growing up in Spain and on the beaches near Santa Barbara, CA. During his time in CA, Ryan sang in the Far Western District High School championship quartet, Masterpiece. Ryan was a member of the exclusive Cabrillo High School madrigal singers, and was the student director of his high school choir. While furthering his studies of music in Santa Barbara, Ryan kept busy with his vocal performance education and was the recipient of the National School Choral Award for excellence in vocal performance. Ryan furthered his love of acappella by co-directing the Lompoc, CA chapter of SPEBSQSA.

Since moving back to Colorado, Ryan has sung Lead in four acappella championship quartets, Kings of the Road ('95), Anybody's Guess ('97), Crazy Rhythm ('99) and now NeXus ('04). He has also sung on the international and district stage with the celebrated Sound of the Rockies chorus multiple times. Ryan was a charter member of the nationally known Denver Acappella Project and also sang in the acclaimed vocal jazz group, JazzKatz, with performances all over the country.

An accomplished pianist, Ryan performs both vocal and instrumental renditions of jazz pieces of long ago. Ryan currently works as a promoter with his company, Froobie Productions, and lives in Denver, CO.
